You are required to memorize at least two pieces of standard piano literature. To help you select and learn your pieces, you may listen to them on YouTube here. Circle your selections on your checklist (try to avoid two pieces from the same time period).
This is the most creative element of the Musicianship Award. Research the composer of your choice or the composer of one of your performance pieces and present a report. The report should follow similar rules for reports at your school with an introduction, two or three paragraphs of facts about your composer, and a conclusion. Have fun learning more about a musical person.
A copy of the Haydn Skills Sheet is included in the Shelly Davis Piano Studio assignment book you receive at the beginning of the school year. You may also download the Haydn Award of Excellence Skill Sheet here: Haydn Award Skills Sheet
